Hey there, I’m Kristyn from Canada! The kind of girl who thinks “adventure” is a valid excuse for almost anything. Whether it’s trekking through the mountains or getting lost in a new city (literally), I’m always chasing my next thrill. I have a bad habit of saying “yes” to anything that sounds remotely exciting—and sometimes that means I end up in questionable situations (cue the start of a revolution, anyone?). But hey, it’s all part of the fun, right?

Countries
Continents
Flights Taken
Luggage Lost

My passion for the outdoors started at a young age when my parents would take me wilderness camping as a child. Nothing was better than boating off to a remote island, cliff jumping, making our own “mud baths,” and picking wild blueberries. My sense of travel began to expand as I spent most of my summers road-tripping down to the Southern United States to explore new hidden gems with my extended family.

As I got older, my desire for exploration intensified when I took my first international flight to Cuba in 2010 on a Youth Ambassadors program. From there on out, the bite from the elusive “travel bug” turned into a full-body rash (bad analogy, I know). I’ve backpacked my way through 30+ countries and 7 continents, swam with sharks in the Galapagos Islands, spent a night camping under the stars in the Sahara Desert, survived a rockslide in Yosemite National Park, and witnessed penguin mating rituals in Antarctica.

As my travels have taken me to many extraordinary places and allowed me to meet countless beautiful people (many of whom I’m proud to say are stuck with me as lifelong friends), I’ve come to realize that nothing makes me happier than talking about traveling. I get filled with so much joy when people tell me they’ve finally booked the plane ticket or successfully climb their first mountain. But my favourite part you might ask? I love catching up with them afterward to hear about their adventures!

My goals for this blog are simple:

  1. Inspire you to live the fullest life possible and explore what this world has to offer through travel
  2. Help you save time (and money) by making your planning process smoother
  3. Make you feel prepared to travel by providing the key “need to know” details
